S Attend Funeral
Of Mrs. A. B.
BarnesOut of town relatives attending
the funeral of Mrs. A. B. Barnes
held Monday at 4:00 o'clock in the
Presbyterian church were: Mr. and
Mrs. William Barnes and daughter
Peggy Ann, Mrs. G. H. Carlson,
Mrs. Guy, Van Patten, and
Mr. Bryan J. Lane, all of whom
returned to Chicago Wednesday.
Mrs. Lane will stay on in Cherokee
with her father for an indefinite
period.
Mrs. Dave Woodley. and daughter
Ora of Merrill, Iowa, Mr. and
Mrs. E. H. Bier, of Sioux Falls,
S. D., Lt. Phyllis Barnes from
Camp Lejeune, .N. C., Miss Bonnie
Lou Barnes and Jimmy Barnes of
Waterloo, Conrad Carlson, of
Westbrook, Minn.
From South Dakota Mr. Charles
Carlson of Mount Rose, and Mr.
and .Mrs. Rae Carlson, also of
Mount Rose. From Albert City,
Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sunblad,
and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Carlson.
Miss Helen Barnes, who is stationed
at Thomas England general
hospital, doing Red Cross recreational
work at Atlantic City, N. J., and formerly of Iowa City, will
stay in Cherokee for the remainder
of the week.
Mrs. Forrest Barnes, Forrest Jr.
and Margaret Alice returned to
Ames. Wednesday morning after
visiting in the A. G.: Eddie an A.
B,'Barnes homes while here.
Miss Margaret Barnes left: for
Oak Ridge, Tenn., Wednesday evening.
Those here from Sioux City
were Miss Nelle Barnes and two
friends, Miss . Louise Brakke. and
Miss Leona Wachtler. From Storm
Lake: Two friends, Miss Dell
Diehl and Miss Mabel Luhman.
