Funeral services for Mrs. Roger (Dorothy "Arleen") Morden, 70, were held at Trinity Lutheran church, Tipton, May 23 with the Rev. Donald Sondrol officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Mowry, George and Monte Hawley, John Morden and Johnny and Tom Donohue. Jan Penningroth was organist.
Mrs. Morden died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, May 20.
The daughter of Henry and Sophia Rieck Dolge, she was born at Blairstown May 6, 1918. She graduated from Blairstown high school in 1936. She was married to Roger L. Morden at Stanwood Sept. 1, 1938.
Mrs. Morden spent 50 years in the Tipton community. She was employed at the Superior Dairy for many years.
She is survived by her husband; 4 sons, Roger Jr., New York, N.Y.; Larry, Canyon Green Valley, Calif.; Mark, Davenport and Richard, Tipton; 6 grandchildren and a sister, Norma Hamman, Belle Plaine. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
