At high noon February 26, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Iebsen seven mile North of Atlantic, occurred the wedding of their daughter, Rose, to Mr. John McAfee. Rev. Otto pronounced the words which made them husband and wife in the presence of only the relatives of the bride and groom. After hearty congratulations the guests were invited to partake of an elegant wedding dinner. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Louise and George, sister and brother of the bride. The bride was attired in an elegant dress of brown satin trimmed in pink and wore wreath and viel. The bridesmaid wore a handsome dress of old rose albatros trimmed in white satin and apliqua. The groom and groomsman wore the conventional black. The presents received were many and useful. The bride is well and favorably known, being the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Iebsen and has grown to womanhood in this community and the groom is an industrious young man, having lived in this community for some time and is highly esteemed by all who know him. The happy wedded couple will after March first, go to housekeeping on a farm about three miles north of Atlantic which the groom has rented for the coming year. May they live long and prosper, is the wish of their many friends.
