Funeral services for Reg Tuel
Funeral services for Reginald C Tuel were held Saturday, Jan. 2, 1982, at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Larry Davidson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cretsinger were soloists, accompanied by Mrs. Neal Shirbroun. Casket bearers were Dale Ridgeway, Harold Johnson, Dwain Duncan, Maynard Rees, Dean Corson, and Jay Scott. Interment was in the Westlawn Cemetery at Glidden.
Reg died unexpectedly at his home here on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at the age of 76 years. He worked for Armours and was engaged in various types of trucking, also driving a school bus for many years. After his retirement in 1968, he worked part-time at Garst & Thomas and had driven the bus for Congregate Meals.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Genevieve in 1959 and Violet in 1977; an infant son and his parents.
Surviving are a son, Val Tuel and wife Wanda, Coon Rapids; daughter Mrs. Herman (Lois) Whitaker, Carroll; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 stepdaughters: Joanne Nielson and Marge Jensen, Atlantic, and Karen Fullerton, Griswold; two brothers, Howard Tuel of Mesa, Az., and Leonard (Penny) Tuel of Atlantic; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Elaine) Underberg, Storm Lake; a special friend, Dolores Mozena of Coon Rapids.
