Obituary – Mrs. Clark Roby
Elizabeth Harris was born in Putnam County, Ind., Aug. 12, 1842. She passes away from this life Mar. 30, 1935, at the McCrary hospital in Lake City at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 18 days. At the age of 10 years she moved with her parents to Madison County, Ia., where she resided till her marriage to John Kinart, Sept. 9, 1861. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Ollie Scroggins of Rockwell City. Her husband died in June 1862, and on Oct. 19, 1865 she was married to Clark Roby. To this union three children were born, Mary Alice and Albert, who preceded their mother in death, and Miss Laura Roby of Rockwell City. Mrs. Roby joined the Christian church about the 1872, having been a member of the church 63 years. She was a resident of Calhoun County 52 years. For the last four years Mrs. Roby made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ollie Scroggins. She leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, Mrs. Ollie Scroggins and Miss Laura Roby of Rockwell City, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of friends.
