Lillian Buttrick and Clifford Bullinger
Married Here FridayMiss Lillian Buttrick, daughter of Mrs. Julia Buttrick of Lake City and Mr. Clifford Bullinger of Denver Colo., were united in marriage on Friday, October 1, at 6 p.m. at the home of the bride's mother here. S. E. Stanfield, justice of the peace, of Rockwell City, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Buttrick of Sioux City.
The bride wore a blue-gray suit with blue acessories and a corsage of pink carnations and yellow pom poms.
Following the wedding, a dinner was served to the bridal party, wedding guests and immediate relatives at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Conner.
Out-of-town guests included Mrs. Clara Olmsted of Wichita, Kansas, a sister of the bridegroom; Mrs. R. B. Ayers, Kansas City, Mrs. Merle Atkinson, Hampton, Mo., Miss Beth Buttrick of Sioux City, and Miss Hazel Lamb of Des Moines.
Mrs. Bullinger graduated from the Lake City high school in 1924 and attended Coe College. She has been employed by the American Red Cross for a number of years and for the past few years has been field director at an air force base in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Bullinger is employed by the Duplicating Supply Co., in Denver, where the couple will make their home.
On Saturday afternoon a reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Bullinger was held at the home of the bride's mother, with about thiry close friends and relatives attending. Garden flowers decorated the home. Mrs. C. O. Goodale cut the wedding cake and Miss Hazel Lamb of Des Moines had charge of the gifts. Assisting Mrs. Buttrick were Mrs. Bruce Tubbs, Mrs. Ralph Hobart and Mrs. Goodale.
