Jordan Matthew Parmely,3, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident south of Oelwein on Thursday.

Survivors include his parents, Lesa and Matt Parmely of Hazleton; a sister, Brooke at home; and a brother, Ryan at home.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein, by the Rev. John Kerr and the Rev. William Myers. Burial: Hazleton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and for one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.

Jordan Matthew Parmely was born Feb. 11, 1994, in Waterloo, the son of Matthew and Lesa Carrothers Parmely. Jordan was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein.

Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Don and Freda Carrothers of Alburnett; paternal grandparents, John and Betty Parmely of Dundee; aunts, uncles and cousins, Dana and Autumn Carrothers, Brandon and Kayla, all of Cedar Rapids, Jeff and Heather Carrothers, Kinze and Robbie, all of Alburnett, Michelle Carrothers and Buck Fronatt, Cassi and Justi, all of New Castle, Colo., Greg and Jen Parmely, and Cole, all of Hazleton, and Lamista and Dale Meyer, and Zach, all of Dundee.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents and a special dog, Cody.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
