Keith M. Bantz, 70, of rural Independence, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, after a short illness.

Survivors include his wife, Mable; three sons, Steve, Keith D. and Kevin, all of Independence; two daughters, Peggy and Teresa, both of Independence; three brothers, Carroll of Brandon, Dallas of Dunkerton and Lester of Fairbank; and three sisters, Doris Foley of Prescott, Ariz., Shirley Roepke of Hazleton and Bonnie Bantz of Waterloo.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, White Funeral Home, Independence, by the Rev. Dennis Bailey. Burial: Otterville Cemetery, rural Independence. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
