Elizabeth "Rose" Weber, 92, of Independence, died Wednesday afternoon, June 20, 2007, at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence following a short illness.

Survivors include four daughters, Marilyn Kerkove of Jesup, Alberta Hanson and Roszella Andersen, both of Winthrop, and Joyce Streets of Coppell, Texas; four sons, Richard, George and Marv, all of Independence, and William of Hazleton; and a sister, Angela Zieser of Oelwein. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, by the Rev. Aloysius Vorwald. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, with a rosary at 3 p.m. and vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
