Everett L. Allen,83, died Sunday evening in Mercy Hospital, Oelwein, after a short illness.

Survivors include his wife, Alta; a son, Jim of Iowa City; and two daughters, June Ingamells of Hazleton and Janet Cook of Springdale, Ark. Also surviving are seven grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, First Baptist Church, Oelwein. Burial: Hazleton Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home, Oelwein, and one hour before service time Wednesday at the church.
