Know all men by these presents that W.L.Stewart of Bremer county state of Iowa, in consideration of the sum of twenty five (25) dollars to me paid by John M. Pebbles of said county and state of Iowa the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged do hereby convey release a quit claim for the term of three (3) years, from the twenty fifth (25) day of Oct. A.D. 1865, into the said John M. Pebbles his heirs and assigns the timber on a certain tract of land in said Bremer county consisting of about two (2) acres described as follows to wit: a part of SW quarter
of SE quarter of section 17 twp. 91 N of R 13 W beginning at the post N 10 (ten) rds of the quarter section post between section 17 & 20 thence east twenty (20 rds- thence N sixteen (16) rds- thence W twenty (20) rds - thence S sixteen (16) rds to the place of beginning - with the privilege of getting away said timber anytime within the said three (3) years.
To have and to hold the above released premises to the said John M. Pebbles, his heirs and assigns to he and their use and behoof for the terms of three (3) years from the twenty fifth (25) day of Oct. A.d. 1863 aforesaid - and I the said M.L.Stewart for myself and any heirs and legal representatives to Warrant and Defend the same against the lawful claims and demands of all persons claiming by through or under me and none other. And further I reserve the rails and ties now made on said premises - and the right to remove them at pleasure.In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty'th (20) day of Jan. A.D. 1864.
