Dear Karen,
Wow, that was fast! The information gives a common sense answer to my question of whether Emma Harbin could have joined the fledgling group which called themselves PEO which was founded in Mt. Pleasant in 1869. Looks like her father was living at that time in Mt. Pleasant and since she was only 22 or 23 and unmarried, she was probably living with him and her stepmother. My mother would have loved knowing even this much about her!
