Mrs. Joe Ortner died at the residence of her mother, Mrs. August Kurtz, 216 Logan avenue, at 12:45 a. m, today, as result of an illness of influenza and pneumonia. She was born in Fox township in 1891. Surviving are her husband, Joe Ortner to whom she was married in 1912, and three children, Helen, Mildred and Robert; her mother, eight brothers and sisters, John, Jesup; Frank, Charles and Henry, Waterloo; William, Prescott, Wash.; Mrs. Matt Thomes, Gilbertville; Mrs. Mike Erpelding, Raymond; and Mrs. Casper Ortner, Dunkerton. Her father died about a year ago.
