Jean Phoebe Haskin, 87 years old of Dunkerton, Iowa, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Cedar Valley Hospice House in Waterloo, IA.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Monday, Sept 30, 2024, at the Dunkerton Methodist Church, with burial at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, IA. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, and for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Jean was born January 20, 1937, in Buchanan County, IA, the daughter of Alder Blad and Phoebe Josephine (Patten) Blad. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1955. On April 21, 1956, she was united in marriage to James Frank Haskin in Waterloo, IA. Jean worked in the office of Rath Packing in Waterloo, before marriage and starting a family. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher.
Jean is survived by her husband of 68 years, James Haskin of Dunkerton; three sons, Tim (Hui) Haskin of Highlands Ranch, CO, Larry (Nancy) Haskin of Evansdale, IA, David (Cindy) Haskin of Bemidji, MN; three daughters, Donna (Dan) Spoelstra of Waterloo, Nancy (Monte) Smock of Dunkerton, Barb (Neal) Garbes of New Hartford, IA; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren; and one brother, Jimmie (Susan) Blad of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Carl, Raymond, and LeRoy Blad; and one sister, Stella Head.
