LESTER RECCORD
Lester Reccord, 64, of 122 Irving Street, a Rath Packing Co.
employee for 19 years, died of a heart attack about 9 a.m. Tuesday while at work in the sweet pickle department at the plant.Although he had been ill last summer with rheumatism, his family said Tuesday he had commented recently on how well he felt.
He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Smith,
1649 Sycamore Street, and Mrs. Allen Lauzon, 129 Block Street, and one sister, Mrs. Clarence Green, Minneapolis, Minn. Three grandchildren, one of them in the navy, also survive.Lester Record was born Feb. 17. 1879, at Norfolk, Ia, the son of Helen and [sic] Lavenus Record, and was married March 10, 1900, to Cora Ackerson at Forest City, Ia. He was a member of the Open Bible Church, Waterloo. The body is at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.
