Page 3A boy by the name of Watts, aged about 13 years, was run over by the freight train at Brazil last Friday evening, and died in about five hours. He aimed to jump on a flat car as the train was backing up, and missing his footing, fell under the train, the trucks passing over one leg cutting it off and dislocating the hip and causing hemorrhage of the bowels. Drs. Stephenson, Morgan, Sturdivant and Henry were called but could do nothing further than to administer opiates and make his death as free from pain as possible. The great number of boys who attempt to jump onto moving trains appears to make boys none the less careless.
