Jen,
There is some information about Isaac Mickey found on the Allamakee co. IAGenWeb site. He is on the 1856 census, enumerated in Jefferson twp. He's only 17, but doesn't appear to be living with his parents. The military records show that he served in the Civil War, the Co. he served with, etc. The search engine returns 10 'hits' for 'Mickey', so there may be more.
