I have Gustav Hahn dying on April 14, 1891 and Mary (O'Connell) Hahn dying on Sep 23, 1917. Says Mary service were at St' Mary's Cathilic Church and buriel will be in Catholic Cemetery.
I saw obit of Mary. Very informative. She was Irish from Co. Mayo and they immigrated in 1848-1851.
So I am first trinf to find the tombstone of Gustav and Mary in Clayton County. I am trying to locate a obit for Gustav. I am trying to find Marriage lic in Oct 1864 in North McGregor.
I also would like to know where I should inquire to get a copy of the wills for these persons from Girard, Clayton County, Iowa.
Also where can I get birth certificates and baptismal record for the 7 boys that were born in North McGregor and Clayton County.
An information would be greatly appreciated. I am doing this research for my Vietnam buddy Don Lynch who was from Eden, Fayette County, Waucoma, Iowa. The Lynchs' and Hahns' have been in this 5 county area forever. But I am from NY and am not familar with the territory.
Thank again
What newspaper would have printed that obit for Mary (O'Connell) Hahn when she died in North McGregor in 1917. Would it have been the North Iowa Times?
