Miss Bertha Ula Crouse, of Corning, and Garnet C. Baker of Atlanta, Nebraska, were quietly married Wednesday evening, September 16, 1925, at 6:00 o'clock, at the M.E. parsonage in Corning. Rev. E.S. Menoher performed the ceremony. The contracting parties were attended by Miss Lena Crouse, a sister of the bride, and Clarence Miller. After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Crouse, where a fine dinner was served to the relatives and a few immediate friends. Among the quests were two grandmothers of the bride, Mrs. C.S. Crouse and Mrs. A. Putnam, both of Prescott.
The bride has grown to womanhood in this community and graduated from the Corning High School with the class of 1924. She taught the past year in the Adams County Schools. Mr. Baker is associated wth the Atlanta Equity Exchange of Atlanta, Nebraska. He is the youngest son of Mrs. Pauline Baker. For two years Mr. Baker was employed on the Clarence Miller farm, near Corning, and he made many friends in this community. He and his bride departed for Atlanta, where they will reside. A large number of friends join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Baker a pleasant and profitable wedded life.
