John Eugene Morris (Jack) passed away on June 21, 2016 at the Stuart Community Care Center in Stuart, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 23rd at the Casey United Methodist Church in Casey. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 23rd at the Casey United Methodist Church in Casey. Burial with military honors will be at Oakwood Cemetery Casey. Memorial contributions may be directed to the John Morris Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral home.

John was born April 23, 1926 to John and Faye Morris of Rural Adair County.

John was raised and then farmed his entire life in this area, except in his time in the Navy.

He joined the Navy in 1950 and served aboard the USS Haven during the Korean Conflict.

He returned to Adair County and married the love of his life Grace (Lundy Short) in 1955. To this union four children were born: Rebecca, Dennis, Jane and John.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Grace on March 3, 2012; parents; one brother and one sister.
