Adair County Sheriff
Missing For Some Time

A short time ago W. E. Sachau,
who has been sheriff of Adair
county for several years, disappear-
ed and after waiting for his return
or word from him members of the
board of supervisors declared the
office vacant and appointed W. C.
Lydon of Greenfield to fill the un-
expired term.

Reports were received that Sachau
had been seen at various places but
as he had done nothing to warrant
his being held he was not returned
to Adair county. Sachau changed
the official license plates on his aut-
omobile to private plates a short
time after his disappearance.
