The State Historical of Iowa has kindly given permission to the IAGenWeb project to display their death records on each county's website.  We very much appreciate this wonderful addition to our counties. 

Black Hawk County Death Records from the state cover the years 1935-1939 and at this time contain 107 pages of information.  The Historical Society periodically adds to these records.  If you wish to check out all the available information from the Society through their Iowa Cultural Affairs division, follow this link.

We now have online the large pdf so that Black Hawk County's search engine can find your ancestor.  Please use the page search feature to quickly narrow down to your subject person when bringing up the page. 

I will also be keeping notes of the corrections or additions you might have.  As an example:  Mathias Dirkes died in 1938 and his mother's maiden name is listed as Dabmeier.  His mother was actually a Dobmeier.  If you have corrections or additions to any that show unknown or blank, please drop me a line.  Thanks much, Karen
