Miss Flowers Becomes Bride of Mr. Stedman.
Marriage Takes Place at Marshalltown. Will Make N.Y. Home.
An affair which place recently is of interest to old friends here was the marriage of Miss Clare Flowers, and Mr. Chester M. Stedman, at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Herbert W. Flowers, in Marshalltown, at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, January 12, 1924. Rev. W. C. Cleworth officiated. The bride is the granddaughter of a pioneer resident here, having made friends of those whom she has met during numerous visits to relatives. She is the fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Flower, who spent their youth, grew to manhood and womanhood and were married in Blairstown, and a granddaughter of Mrs. Amelia Sanderson. The young lady is a of pleasing personality and gifted in many ways. The groom is a native of Marshalltown being a stranger here but in his home town is recognized as a progressive business man having won a responsible position in the office of Lenox Furnace Co. Recently the Co. opened offices at Syracuse New York and Mr. Stedman has been transferred to that office. Mr. and Mrs. Stedman will be at home to their friends after March 4, at Syracuse.
