Walford Wedding Occurred at Church On Tuesday Morning

Walford, Nov. 18.-Tuesday morning at 8:30 in the Holy Trinity Catholic church here, the Rev. Father Sindelar performed the marriage service for Miss Vera Brecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brecht, and Leo Edward Sonka, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sonka. The Misses Viola and Angeline Schulte sang during the ceremony.
Attending the bride and bridegroom were Mr. and Mrs. Rinehart Brecht, the latter as maid of honor and the following bridesmaids and ushers: Frances Sonka, Marcella Pickart, Vernon Brecht and Jerry Sonka. Gowned in white satin and veil the bride carried white flowers. Her maid of honor was dressed in peach colored silk moire, and the bridesmaids wore green silk moire. They carried bouquets of mixed flowers.
After the ceremony and congratulations a wedding dinner was served the bridal party and the immediate families at the Mike Brecht home. That evening several hundred guests attended the wedding dance at Max's ball room in Norway. Mr. and Mrs. Sonka will make their home on a farm five miles west of Cedar Rapids on the Lincoln highway.
