A PRETTY WEDDING
Miss Inez Rice and James Harrison Wedded at the Home of the Bride In Vinton Wednesday Evening.
About 75 guests witnesses a very pretty wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Rice, of this city, Wednesday, March 13, 1912, their daughter Inez, being given in marriage to James Harrison. Rev. A. T. Bishop officiating. The happy couple stood under a bower of roses and carnations with a wedding bell pendant hanging from the center.
Miss Leta Rice, a sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and Earl Minear as best man. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Hugh Caldwell and a song was beautifully sung by Mrs. McNamara. After congratulations were extended the bridal party and guests sat down to a three course supper.
The bride was dressed in white all over embroidery and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid was dressed in tan messaline. The groom wore the conventional black. Many beautiful and useful presents were received by the bride.
The young couple will commence housekeeping at once on a farm owned by the groom in Taylor township. He is a young man of sterling worth. The bride is a young lady of many graces. She has been a valued employee of the Iowa telephone company. These young people start out on the journey of life well equipped to fight its battle, and it will be the wish of their many friends that their married life be cloudless and happy.
