MRS. JOS. SOUKUP IS AT REST

WORTHY WOMAN PASSED AWAY SUNDAY EVENING AT HOME SOUTH OF LUZERNE.
At the family home three miles southeast of Luzerne at 6 o'clock Sunday evening Mrs. Joseph Soukup passed away. Ms. Soukup has been in feeble condition for some time and suffered intenisly from inflamatory rheumatism and death was no doubt hastened by a weak heart. She bore her suffering in true Christian fortitude.
Funeral services were held from the home at 1 o'clock Wednesday and were in charge of the Rev. Paula of Vining. Interment was in the International Cemetery immediately south of Luzerne.
Mrs. Soukup was a native of Austria and was 55 years 1 month and 10 days old at the time of her death on Feb. 21st, 1915. With her husband and children the deceased came to this country in 1903 and for a number of years they have lived on the farm where she passed away. Mrs. Soukup was the mother of nine children, two sons and seven daughters. One son and six daughters survive and with the husband mourn the loss of a true and faithful mother and wife. Her life was devoted to her family and her greatest monument will be seven good children, two of whom are married, one daughter, Mrs. Frank Ticky living in Chicago, and another daughter, Mrs. Loyka, living near the home place. The other children are at home. Friends of the family join in extending sympathy to the grief stricken family.
