Lydia J. Heacock
Died — At Garrison, Iowa, April 13th, 1891, Mrs Lydia J. Heacock. The funeral took place at the M. E. church Tuesday, April 14tb, 1891, conducted by Rev. J Haymond and the burial took place at the Big Grove cemetery. The deceased was born in Benton county, Iowa, Dec. 20th, 1867, which made her 23 years, 4 months and 17 days of age. Lydia J. Stortz was married to James S. Heacock, Jan. 1st, 1890. They came to Garrison April 6th, 1891, consequently had lived here only one week when she died. They received a large amount of sympathy from the neighbors, who did all in their power to make deceased comfortable in her last sickness. The friends and relatives present were six from West Branch, a brother and sister from Kingsley, three from Van Horn, and three from Belle Plaine, which made fourteen in all.
