September 8 - Anyone with Danish ancestors from Audubon or Shelby counties may enjoy viewing a new documentatry about Elk Horn that recently aired on Danish television. It was filmed by two Danish filmmakers earlier this year and is titled "Denmark on the Prairie." The Danish Immigrant Museum is currently featuring the story. We don't know how long Danish television will continue to make the hour long film available online, but currently it may be viewed at http://www.dr.dk/tv/se/danmark-pa-praerien/danmark-pa-praerien/ . The film is mostly in English, with Danish subtitles.

Update 10/14/13 - the above film no longer seems to be available online, but the related news article dated 28.Aug.2013 and a number of other articles about Elk Horn are online at https://www.dr.dk/soeg?query=Elk%20%2Bhorn&sort=Relevance (mostly in Danish).

June 19 - The contributor of the Douglas No. 3 Township School Circa 1930 photo has managed to locate identification for all the individuals shown, and that page has now been updated with all the names. She has also contributed a vintage photo of the Kimballton Creamery with her great-grandfather N. C. Mortensen pictured on the left. Many thanks to Carol Anderson for both of these great additions!!
