The submittor believes this photo to be circa 1922 based on the ages of her uncles, Elmer and Earl Mortensen. She writes: "I am enclosing a school photo which was in my father's photo collection. It was taken at Douglas No. 3 Rural School in Audubon County, Iowa. His brother, Elmer Mortensen, is the tall boy in the back row with the baseball glove. I can only guess the year it was taken as Elmer appears to be about age 12 which would make it about 1922. The boy wearing the jacket in the front row is probably his brother Earl Mortensen, who was 3 years younger than Elmer. Elmer was born in May 1910 and Earl was born in May 1913. Unfortunately, there was no writing on the back of the photo telling who everybody was. . . . A few years back I submitted the Douglas No. 3 class photo which included my father, LeRoy Mortensen which you have posted on the site."
