Above, divided back postcard addressed to Mrs. Roy McDermott in Oakland, Iowa, with Oakland crossed out and re-addressed to Ross, Iowa c/o J. M. Rippey. Handwritten message is dated Oct. 2 without a year. Two postal cancellation stamps, one at Adair and one at Oakland, but the year is difficult to read because of the double cancellations. Possibly 1908? Or 1903? Message reads: "I am sending you five yards more of goods like Marie's dress. She sent it last spring, it was put in a drawer and forgotten. I thought you might need it. Mrs. Adams" (?? surname difficult to read).
