The High School football team is now
organized with Walter Kluss, manager, and John Schultz,
captain. Two games have been scheduled with McGregor, at McGregor the 16th and here the 28th. This photo of the Postville High School Boys Basketball team was taken sometime between 1918 and 1922 when my dad, Louis Benjegerdes, was in HS. He is not in the picture, and I don't have names of anyone who is in the pic. Thought it might be a good one to put on the website to see if anyone knows who is in the picture.

1966 Football
Postville Junior High School Football Team, 1966
The undefeated Postville Junior High football team ended their season with a total of 146 points to their opponents' 18. They started by defeating Waukon 45-0. Then they downed Monona 41-12. Valley didn't stand a chance with the final score 33-0. Decorah was the closest game with a score of 27-6. Coach Chandler said that the success of this season was due to the hard work, good attitude, and the desire to win on the part of the entire squad. He cited Cliff Marlow, Bob Radloff, and Dick Mohs as outstanding players. Cliff Marlow lead the team with 16 touchdowns for the season; Dick Mohs was next with four, and Doug Lenth had one.Starting line up for the team was: quarterback, Larry Moore; left half, Cliff Marlow; right half, Doug Lenth; fullback, Dick Mohs; on the line were Bob Radloff, Scott Snitker, Grant Mork, Loren Brandt, Ted Hughes, Dennis Anderson, Dennis Koenig, Mike Miene, and Terry Szabo.
Other members of the overall team were: Dale Troester (manager). Joey Duwe, Reid Koenig, John Meade, Blaine Schultz, Bobby Benson, Mike Reinhardt, Lynn Sanders, Bradley Harris, Wyatt Schultz, Wayne Haltmeyer, Bradley Rekow, Dwight Bacon, Loren Johnson, Ronnie Wendel, Tennis Foels, Terry Hangartner, David Anderson, Randy Suckow, John Schroeder, Bradley Schutte, Kevin Krambeer, Leslie Livingood and Fransis Livingood.The Pirate victory wagon was lead by cheerleaders Marsha Smith, Nancy Rosberg, Mary Chris Owen and Konnie Brandt.
