D. W. Lyons to Wm Patterson
Know all men by these [presents?] that Mr. David W. Lyons
& Sarah A. Lyons of Allamakee County State of Iowa in
consideration of the sum of eighteen hundred Dollars in
hand paid by Wm Patterson of Morgan County State of Ohio
do hereby sell and convey unto the same Patterson the
following premises to wit:
The South half of the North East quarter of Section
twenty One (21) and South half of the North West quarter
of Section twenty two (22) in Town Ninety Six North of
Range [blacked out] West of the fifth principal meridian
Dubuque Land District.
And we do hereby covenant with the same Wm Patterson that
we are lawfully seized of said premises That they are
free from incumbrance except a mortgage held by [?]
school fund commissionor of four hundred and ten dollars
which Wm Patterson is to satisfy That we have good right
and lawfull authority to sell and convey the same
Do hereby covenant to warrant and defend the said
premises against [illegible] lawful claims of all persons
whomsoever except as above described and the same Sarah
A. Lyons does hereby relinquish her right of dower to the

Deed 1856
Moses B. Early & wife to William Patterson
For the consideration of Nine Hundred Dollars we hereby
convey to William Patterson the following tract of Land:
To wit: The South half of North West quarter of Section
twenty two (22) in Township Ninety Six (96) North of
Range Six (6) west.
And warrant the title against all persons, whomsoever.
Executed this twenty fifth day of December A.D. 1856.

Executed in presence of John Laughlin
State of Iowa Allamakee County. On this twenty fifth day
of December A.D. 1856, before me a Justice of the Peace
in and for said County, personally appeared moses B.
Early and Susannah Early to me personally known to be the
identical persons whose names are affixed to the Deed,
and acknowledge the same to be their voluntary act.
