Know all Men by These Presents, that Mr. Henry Johnson
and Mary Johnson of Allamakee county, state of Iowa, in
consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars in hand paid by
Mary Clark senior of Allamakee county, State of Iowa do
hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Mary
Clark her heirs and assigns the following described
premises, to wit: Lot No. 2 in Block No. 11 between Dayton and
Vine Street in the town of Johnsonport Allamakee Co,
State of Iowa And we Henry Johnson and Mary Johnson do hereby
covenant with the said Mary Clark her heirs and assigns
that we are lawfully seized of said premises, that they
are free from incumbrance; that we have good sight and
lawful authority to sell and convey the same; and we do
hereby convenant to Warrant and Defend the same against
the claims of all persons whomsoever. Signed this fourth
day of April A. D. Eighteen Hundred and Fifty Six

April 1856, before me, a justice of the peace in and for
said county, in person came Henry Johnson and Mary
Johnson to me personally known be the identical person
whose names are affixed to the above dded as grant or,
and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and
deed.
