Robert Thomas Murphy born 2 Jan. 1837 Clay Co. Indiana According to his obituary he arrived in Adair Co. on the 1st of Sept. 1854 He married Martha Key on 14 Aug. 1859. They had 13 children: Margaret Olive, McClellan, Nancy Ellen, Mary C., Elizabeth J., Sarah Catherine, Josephine, Alexander, Samuel Delbert, Anna Elsie, Mattie, and Robert E. He lived in Harrison twp the rest of his life and died 13 Oct. 1922 at the age of 85. He was a member of the Christian Church. He and Martha were buried in Roberts Cemetery, Adair Co.
